The successful applicant will be expected to work with ALMA observations of star forming regions in the Galactic disk. They will be involved in projects comparing JWST to ALMA data in the Galactic center, searches for salt molecule emission in protostellar disks, and/or studies of the formation of the initial mass function. The candidate should have experience processing ALMA data. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2023, with some flexibility. The position is renewable annually for up to three years based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding. A Ph.D. in Astronomy, Physics or a related field is required prior to the start date. The successful candidate will have access to the newly built HiPerGator research computing cluster and will be able to apply for time on the 10.4m GTC.
